Cha Sang-hyun, head coach of GS Caltex's bench in the fifth set, shouted at referee Jeon Young-ah and took rough action. The reason was to appeal that GS Caltex violated the 8-second sub-rule of Korea Expressway Corporation rookie Kim Se-bin when it was trailing 9-7.

The sub must serve within 8 seconds of the referee's whistle signal.  Korea Expressway Corporation's "Rookie" Kim Se-bin was preparing to serve consecutively and was bouncing volleyball on the court for more time than expected. And as soon as he tried to serve, referee Jeon Young-ah called the whistle again to inform Kim Se-bin of the violation of the 8-second rule, and announced GS Caltex's score.

Korea Expressway Corporation was disappointed by giving up one point from 7-9 to 7-10, and Korea Expressway Corporation was eventually defeated by a set score of 2-3 (25-16 25-17 17-25 21-25 11-15).

GS Caltex led the victory with Silva scoring 28 points, Kang So-hwi 22 points and Han Su-ji seven points, while Korea Expressway Corporation achieved the triple crown with Vukirich scoring 36 points, including three blocks and four serves, but it was regrettable that it failed to prevent the team's defeat.

Kim Jong-min, head coach of the Korea Expressway Corporation, said, "I think (Kim) Se-bin was too nervous. I told him to hit the serve quickly, but I guess he couldn't hear me. That's how you grow," he said.

Kim Sei-bin of the Korea Expressway Corporation is a rookie in the spotlight. Kim Nam-soon, a 187 centimeter tall middle blocker, is the second daughter of legendary female volleyball striker Kim Nam-soon.

Kim Se-bin graduated from Hanbom High School and wore the Korea Expressway Corporation uniform as the first choice in the first round of the '2023-2024 Professional Volleyball Draft'. He is the only rookie to play as a starting member

Meanwhile, the Korea Expressway Corporation is set to play its first round match against IBK Industrial Bank at Hwaseong Sports Complex Gyeonggi Town Indoor Gymnasium on the 11th.
